I recently thought that maybe we (as a nation or communities) should think about using tree houses to help address the homeless problem; and now the migrant problem too.
I often look up at the tall trees where I am right now in northern Cal and think to myself, “Why don’t we build more tree houses?” We always loved them as kids (albeit my experience ended in a tree house failure at our house on Eastern Ave; and a broken arm for my friend nicknamed “Mobes”, but that’s another story)
And the inner kid in adults, especially the kind who enjoy the homeless survival challenge (yes I said “enjoy”- there are those who like the challenge of it) might love having their own adult treehouse!
The municipalities of course couldn’t endorse it because then there would be “liability”- but they could at least be blind to it to a certain extent.
